SHADY SIDE GARDEN Who says hostas are boring? Concrete and dirt was the main event in this shady side yard. After some grading and a new garden path of pea gravel, we filled in this strip of ground between two closely situated houses with a variety of hostas, coral bells, ferns, lungwort and shade loving shrubs.

FRONT PORCH REFRESH The homeowners knew they wanted an update but were unsure how everything would look together. By adding an inviting porch and streamlining the color palette to work with the existing siding, this bungalow’s future is bright. Next up, hardscaping and foundation plantings!

CURB APPEAL The homeowners wanted their newly constructed home to look as good on the outside as it did on the inside. A natural boulder wall eased the steep fall of the terrain and allowed for a deep planting pocket. River Birch, Kousa Dogwood, as well as spring and fall blooming perennials soften the architectural lines of this new home. The result? A home and garden to enjoy for years to come.
